 #SelfCareSunday: Digital Detox Day 📵Let’s face it—our phones are practically extensions of our hands. From school to socials to stress relief, we’re always on. But here’s the truth: constant connection can leave us drained, distracted, and distant from ourselves.


This week, let’s reclaim our focus, our peace, and our presence with a Mini Digital Detox.




🧘‍♀️ The Challenge: Take just ONE hour to unplug—no phone, no laptop, no scrolling. Not forever. Just a small break to reset your nervous system and reconnect with your real-world self.


What can you do instead? Try one (or all) of these:

  • Doodle, journal, or write a note to your future self. Get out of your head and onto the page.

  • Craft a mocktail or make a smoothie—something fun and refreshing that feels like a treat. Check out the recipes we have collected

  • Go outside and just be. Feel the breeze, listen to the sounds, notice the details.

  • Make a playlist that lifts your mood—no screens needed, just the music.

  • Read something uplifting, calming, or creative. A poem, a comic, a short story, or even old notes from friends.


Bonus Reflection: After your detox, write down how you felt. Did anything surprise you? What was hard? What was freeing?


Parents and caregivers: Encourage your teen to join in—and try it yourself! Make it a shared reset moment. Turn off the tech and turn up the connection.

Unplugging is a form of self-respect. You deserve a break from the noise.Let this be your gentle reset for the week ahead.
