After the family chat, take some time to journal your thoughts. Write down what you can control—your reactions, your choices, your mindset. Then, acknowledge the things outside your control and consider how to release them.
Examples Of Things We Have Control Over:
🔹Our Attitude: How we choose to approach situations and our mindset.
🔹Effort and Actions: The energy and work we put into tasks and activities.
🔹Reactions to Others: Deciding how we respond to people's behavior, whether positive or negative.
🔹Self-care and Health Habits: Choices around diet, exercise, rest, and mental health practices.
Examples Of Things We DO NOT Have Control Over:
🔸Other People’s Actions: How others behave, what they say, or think.
🔸Past Events: What has happened already and cannot be changed.
🔸Other People’s Opinions of Us: How others perceive or judge us, no matter what we do.
🔸The Outcome of Certain Situations: Even with our best efforts, we cannot always control the end result.
